Victim Advocates provide court preparation, advocacy and accompaniment, assistance in filing Domestic Violence Protective Orders (50b), assistance with victim compensation claims, Safety Planning, and referrals to the legal community for Domestic Violence victims.
New Directions Safe House
New Directions is a temporary, safe house for abused women and their children, providing individual case management, counseling, support groups, food, clothing, advocacy, and referrals to other agencies in the community.
This program provides individual counseling and support groups. Some issues addressed include: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, Depression, Grief, and Family Conflicts.
Abuse in Later Life Program
This program addresses the needs of family violence victims who are ages 50 or older. It offers specialized services and also coordinates with the Violence in Aging Council (VIAC), a multi-organization member group that raises public awareness about elder abuse.
Hispanic Outreach Program
The primary goal is to raise awareness within the Hispanic community through education and all other services offered by the Center for Family Violence Prevention. Through cultural competency, the bilingual staff provide advocacy and case management to Spanish speaking victims of Domestic Violence.
The Family Center
The Family Center is a place where children are given the opportunity to develop the best possible relationships with both of their parents.
