The Center for Family Violence Prevention announces the First Annual Domestic Violence Impact Luncheon to be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the Greenville Convention Center.
“Every one of us knows someone who has been impacted by domestic violence,” says luncheon coordinator Donna Raynor. “The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about the issue and to also raise funds to help the Center for Family Violence Prevention continue to serve those affected by violence in their personal relationships.”
Keynote speakers for the luncheon will be
Ron and Jan Kimble,
whose beautiful daughter Jamie was in a tumultuous seven-year relationship that tragically ended when she was murdered by her ex-boyfriend. Ron and Jan have strong ties to the Greenville community, where he served as City Manager for 10 years, she was an administrator at then-Pitt County Memorial Hospital (now Vidant), and Jamie graduated from Rose High School.
Hearing how domestic violence impacted their lives is a stark reminder that no family is immune to this type of violence.
If you would like to show your support for the Kimbles and the Center for Family Violence Prevention, make plans to join us at this special event. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. for networking, and the program begins at 11:30.
